Plug Power CSO Sanjay Shrestha Named Strategist of the Year by Albany Business Review

Plug Power has expanded quickly over the past year, building out a green hydrogen ecosystem and helping to decarbonize the transportation and material handling industries. Instrumental to these efforts is Plug’s chief strategy officer and general manager of its Energy Solutions business, Sanjay Shrestha.

In recognition of these accomplishments, the Albany Business Review, as part of its Achievers Awards Program, named Shrestha “Strategist of the Year.” The Achievers Awards, the Albany Business Review’s most prestigious honor, has celebrated the “best of the best” in the local business community for the past 37 years.

Since the start of his tenure at Plug in 2019, Shrestha has spearheaded key acquisitions, including Giner ELX and United Hydrogen, to form the foundation of Plug’s electrolyzer and hydrogen production businesses. Through these new capabilities, Plug is accelerating decarbonization around the world by helping its customers move towards net zero carbon footprints.
