Prior to founding Valere, he spent almost 18 years with Lucent Bell Laboratories in a variety of sales and technical management positions.
Mr. Marsh is chairman of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association and a member of the Hydrogen Council. He holds a master’s in electrical engineering from Duke University and a master’s in business administration from SMU.
Dean Fullerton joined Plug as Chief Operating Officer in August 2024 with a long track record of success as a leader in the supply chain and logistics engineering industry. He is responsible for ensuring the execution, delivery and service of all customer deliverables. Mr. Fullerton will drive safety, quality and reliability standards to strengthen Plug’s operational efficiency, while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Mr. Fullerton joined Plug with 14 years of experience at Amazon, where he was responsible for global engineering services and oversaw operations engineering, planning and analytics, reliability and maintenance engineering, global security, real estate transactions and global procurement. His notable achievements include building the world’s largest and most complex automated e-commerce network on unprecedented schedules, delivering 16 middle-mile sort centers in one year— a task that took competitors seven years. He also completed Amazon’s largest project to date, a $1.5 billion airport and parcel facility, precisely on schedule. Mr. Fullerton was awarded the National Safety Council’s Green Cross Safety Innovation Award for developing groundbreaking collision avoidance technology for powered industrial trucks, significantly enhancing industry safety standards. He also led Amazon’s Hydrogen Economy team that reduced Amazon’s carbon footprint and generated significant cost savings. Additionally, Mr. Fullerton negotiated Amazon’s most successful warrant contract, adding billions of dollars in value. He has submitted five patents, with four approved and one pending.

In 2021, Tim Cortes was promoted to Chief Technology Officer for Plug. His focus includes responsibility for the company’s long-term technology strategy and vision. Gerard Conway joined Plug as Associate General Counsel in 2000 and was promoted to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2004. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, he is responsible for advising the Company on legal issues such as corporate law, securities, contracts, strategic alliances and intellectual property.
Mr. Conway also oversees governmental affairs. In this role, he advocates on energy issues, policies, legislation and regulations on the state, federal, national and international levels on behalf of Plug and the alternative energy sector.
Prior to joining Plug, Mr. Conway spent four years as an Associate with Featherstonhaugh, Conway, Wiley & Clyne, LLP, where he concentrated in government relations, business and corporate law. Rick has been with Plug since 2000, serving in multiple manufacturing, quality, and engineering roles before moving into the role of VP of Operations in 2012. He shifted to a commercial position of Vice President, Product and Program Management in 2021 to oversee the Applications Business Unit product lines and then transitioned to the role of Vice President, NextGen Solutions in 2023. There, he led the development and creation of new innovative solutions and accelerated the adoption of hydrogen into new and existing markets. Mr. Mason was promoted in February 2024 to his current role as Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, leading the company’s global strategy in advanced sourcing, procurement, materials management, inventory control, sales and operations planning, distribution, logistics, and supplier quality programs.

Prior to joining Plug, Mr. Suriano served as Region Director for Field Core, Inc., a GE company where he led the successful startup of a new Field Services organization in the Northern United States. He has held multiple leadership positions over the course his career, including Service Director for Power Service, Operations Leader for Power Generation Service, and Global Steam Turbine Leader for Power Generation Service.
Mr. Suriano earned his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and currently resides in the New York area with his wife and three children.
Alan began his career at Plug in 2022 as Sr. Director, Hydrogen Project Management before transitioning to Vice President, Project Execution later that year. In this current role as Executive Vice President, Project Execution, Mr. Sharkey leads the project execution and engineering design of Plug’s hydrogen facilities with a goal of building and sustaining the company’s global hydrogen network.
Mr. Sharkey has more than thirty years of global construction engineering and project management experience, including leadership roles with Audubon Companies, Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd., and Shell Oil Company.
Benjamin Haycraft is the Executive Vice President of the EMEA region for Plug where he oversees business initiatives and operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa to accelerate the company’s growth.
Mr. Haycraft joined Plug in May 2021 as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development in Europe. In that role, he helped define and execute Plug’s European strategy and contributed to Plug’s European initiatives, including the JVs with Renault (Hyvia) and Acciona Energia (AcicionaPlug), the acquisition of Plug’s system solutions group, the first green hydrogen plant in Europe, and broadly identifying strategic partnerships and structuring acquisitions. Prior to Plug, Mr. Haycraft served as Head of ESG Corporate Finance at Santander Corporate and Investment Banking where he advised on ESG corporate finance topics, including the structuring of Plug’s joint venture with Renault and Acciona.

Mr. Suriano earned his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and currently resides in the New York area with his wife and three children.
Alan began his career at Plug in 2022 as Sr. Director, Hydrogen Project Management before transitioning to Vice President, Project Execution later that year. In this current role as Executive Vice President, Project Execution, Mr. Sharkey leads the project execution and engineering design of Plug’s hydrogen facilities with a goal of building and sustaining the company’s global hydrogen network.
Mr. Sharkey has more than thirty years of global construction engineering and project management experience, including leadership roles with Audubon Companies, Foster Wheeler Energy Ltd., and Shell Oil Company.
Benjamin Haycraft is the Executive Vice President of the EMEA region for Plug where he oversees business initiatives and operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa to accelerate the company’s growth.
Mr. Haycraft joined Plug in May 2021 as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development in Europe. In that role, he helped define and execute Plug’s European strategy and contributed to Plug’s European initiatives, including the JVs with Renault (Hyvia) and Acciona Energia (AcicionaPlug), the acquisition of Plug’s system solutions group, the first green hydrogen plant in Europe, and broadly identifying strategic partnerships and structuring acquisitions. Prior to Plug, Mr. Haycraft served as Head of ESG Corporate Finance at Santander Corporate and Investment Banking where he advised on ESG corporate finance topics, including the structuring of Plug’s joint venture with Renault and Acciona.
Mr. Haycraft has international experience working in New York, Madrid and Paris, and has held several leadership positions across strategy, financial planning, and merger and acquisition execution. Mr. Haycraft also serves as a supervisory board Member for Hyvia, a board member for AccionaPlug and Gravithy, and chairman of the expert committee at HY24. He earned his masters of science in corporate finance from Emlyon Business School.
Paul joined Plug in 2020 as Program Director, Service before moving into the role of Director, Continuous Improvement and Reliability in 2021. He was promoted in February 2024 to Executive Vice President, Global Manufacturing, responsible for leading Plug’s global operations and optimizing the performance of all manufacturing facilities.
Mr. Sullivan has nearly three decades of relevant leadership experience in manufacturing operations, procurement, planning and engineering with global companies including Delta Electronics, Eltek, Tyco Electronics Power Systems, Valere Power, and Lucent Technologies.
Keith Schmid joined Plug Power Inc. as Chief Operating Officer in 2013, bringing more than 24 years of experience in the fields of industrial power systems and energy storage. Mr. Schmid is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporation.
Prior to joining Plug Power, Mr. Schmid served as President of SPS Solutions, a power solutions and energy storage consulting firm, from 2011 to 2013. Previously, Mr. Schmid served as CEO of Boston-Power Incorporated, a provider of large format lithium ion battery solutions, in 2011, and as President and CEO of Power Distribution Incorporated, a power distribution and protection company, from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Mr. Schmid held the position of General Manager, Industrial Energy Division- Americas for Exide Technologies from 2001 to 2007.
Mr. Schmid holds an M.B.A and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
